Cyber security bolsters a flexible data strategy and supply-chain resilience
For Hyundai, investment in cloud technology has ensured correct “diagnosis” of the health of its vehicles.
“Today’s cars are very advanced in terms of technology,” says Global Chief Operating Officer José Muñoz. This means that dealers holding an inventory of the company’s cars need specific tools and software to diagnose the health of their vehicles. “If the dealers don’t get access to these tools, they can’t use them,” he says. “So, cloud-based information is really critical.”
Owing to a pre-pandemic strategy to integrated cloud into its operations, the company was able to offer dealerships in its supply chain 24/7 access to the data they needed. This meant they could continue to fix customers’ vehicle issues.
